Chris…Pratt…I know we’ve been spamming you all with a lot of Pratt as of late, but can you blame us? That name just makes women (and some men) everywhere experience the following symptoms: 1) giddiness, 2) joy, 3) sweating, 4) drooling, 5)heart palpitations, 6)loss of speech, 7) the desire to work at a facility in which velociraptors are trained. If you or a loved one have experienced any or all of the aforementioned symptoms of a Pratt-attack, do not panic! You are not alone.
Seriously, Pratt is everywhere right now, as he rightfully should be. There are many reasons to fall in love with Chris Pratt. One of the most obvious reasons is that he’s one of the sexiest men alive.
It’s true! People magazine placed him at #2 in 2014 (we can forgive the fact that he got second place to Chris Hemsworth, I suppose…)
We also love Pratt because of the roles he has been known for. Many people first fell in love with him as Andy Dwyer on Parks and Recreation. He was the doughy, goofy, baked, awkward, cutie-pie we couldn’t get enough of.
There were several supporting roles he played that were the prerequisite to the leading man status he has held in roles such as Emmett in The Lego Movie, Peter Quill (AKA Starlord) in Guardians of the Galaxy, and now Owen in Jurassic World.
Another reason to love Chris Pratt? How about his funny, beautiful wife Anna Faris?! Chris blamed Anna and his role on Parks and Rec for his former rotund figure in an interview with Mens Health UK. Chris states, “I put on weight because I’d fallen in love with a woman who loved to feed her man. We were drinking a lot of wine and having fun. I was her little Hansel out in the woods and she was fattening me up to put me in the fire. It was like Momma Bear and Papa Bear. She would eat a little bit, I would eat all of mine and the rest of hers.” The two stars met in 2007 on the set of the movie Take Me Home Tonight where they formed a bond. The couple tied the knot in 2009. Seriously, how cute and perfect are they together???
Okay, do we need yet another reason to love Pratt? I’ve got one for you: Chris and Anna’s son Jack. Jack was born premature and as a result Chris has become an ambassador for the March of Dimes. Just watch this speech he gave at the March of Dimes Celebration of Babies and tell me you don’t get just a little choked up…
In an interview with Pajiba Chris says, “I’ve done all kinds of cool things as an actor — I’ve jumped out of helicopters and done some daring stunts and played baseball in a professional stadium, but none of it means anything compared to being somebody’s daddy.”
Oh…Em…Gee…need I say more? Chris Pratt is a charming, funny, talented actor with a heart of gold. The world definitely needs more Pratt, which is why we share our love for him unto you. You’re welcome.
Jurassic World is currently out in theaters. It really is the only cure for a Pratt attack…or maybe it just makes the symptoms worse, who knows? Until next time, stay nerdy my friends…
